Conroe is an amazing place to call home. Lake Conroe has an impressive 22,000-acre surface and offers marinas and resorts that cater to boating and fishing adventures. Conroe also offers outstanding parks, including the 201-acre Carl Barton Jr. Park with athletic fields, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, trails and fishing ponds.  There’s also Candy Cane Park.  This 24-acre park includes tennis and basketball courts, play structures, trails, picnic areas and access to swimming facilities.

If golf is your game, you've got a dozen options in Conroe, including La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa Golf Course, River Plantation, April Sound and Walden on Lake Conroe to name a few.

Conroe also offers a wonderful art scene.  The Crighton Theatre, located in the historic downtown Conroe area, hosts several theater companies. Additionally, the Owen Theatre can be found in downtown Conroe. There’s also a symphony orchestra, a first Thursday concert series and more.  Arts abound in Conroe! 

Family fun is around every corner: take the kids to the you-pick Moorhead's Blueberry Farm or check out the Conroe Recreation and Aquatic Center. 300 Bowl is locally-owned and operates many leagues or 7 Acre Wood offers old-fashioned attractions like putt-putt, a petting zoo, pony rides and hay rides.

The city of Montgomery is one of the oldest towns in Texas, where it began as a trading post in 1826. It is recognized as the birthplace of the Texas Lone Star Flag. Located just minutes from Fairwater, the downtown historic district of Montgomery is a lovely spot that includes shops, wineries, and restaurants. There are also fun, family-oriented events like the May Antique Festival, July Freedom Fest, September Wine Fest, December Light up the Park and Christmas Parade and more.
