The City of Conroe Plans Arbor Day Celebration

The City of Conroe is planning to celebrate their 11th Arbor Day on Saturday, February 27 from 8:30 am to noon. The free celebration is facilitated by Root For Conroe and will take place in historic downtown Conroe at Founder’s Plaza.
All Conroe residents will be able to pick up a free tree with the understanding that residents will plant and take care of their gift. A variety of deciduous and evergreen seedling trees will be offered along with a limited number of free 5-gallon potted trees. The seedling trees are being donated by the Texas A & M Forest Service and the 5-gallon potted trees are generously donated through Trees For Houston and Chevron USA.
Free gardening tips will be provided through the Montgomery County Master Gardeners. The trees will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
