The city of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department is slowly reopening recreational spaces throughout the community. Although large gatherings are prohibited, most park walking trails, disc golf courses, dog parks and tennis courts have reopened.

For those wanting to get some swim laps in, Conroe’s aquatic center at 1205 Candy Cane Lane is open for business. Lap swimmers are allotted an hour for their swim and will not share lanes at this time. Lap swimming hours are from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday - Friday and 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

If you are looking for water exercise classes, Conroe’s aquatic center is offering them on weekday afternoons with a class limit of 20.

Conroe’s aquatic center is not currently providing new memberships or day passes and the locker rooms and showers are currently unavailable. Members can make reservations for lap swimming and water exercise by calling 936-522-3930 one day ahead. Space permitting, drop-ins are welcome also.

Make an additional splash this summer in Conroe at these community facilities:
