Lake Creek High School Principal Returns Home
May 08, 2020
The students of Fairwater Community are zoned to the highly rated Montgomery Independent School District. Due to recent growth in the Montgomery area, Lake Creek High SchooI opened their doors in August of 2018. The Principal, Phil Eaton, was set to graduate Lake Creek's first Senior Class of 2020 this spring.
Today, the community surrounding Lake Creek High School is celebrating Principal Phil Eaton. On March 16th, Principal Eaton was hospitalized with COVID-19 and spent 51 days fighting for his life at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. He was one of Memorial Hermann’s first cases, and was on a ventilator for 21 days. Much to the relief and excitement of family, friends and students, the Lake Creek High School Principal was released on Tuesday, May 5.
A parade of cars were there to greet Principal Eaton upon his release from the hospital. Dozens of nurses and doctors escorted him out as he found the strength to stand and greet the line of decorated cars cheering him on.
Principal Eaton is appreciative of all the prayers and support from the community stating, “Even when I was out and under, just their support prayers, thoughts and concerns, rallying around me - shoot, I didn’t expect this today. I’m very humbled.”
