October 02, 2020

football

The Lake Creek Lions were on fire for their opening football game against Dayton this past Saturday. As a matter of fact, the Lions set a new program record with the 77-21 score at home.

The team has overcome many hurdles with their original schedule being delayed for a month due to COVID-19. The game against Dayton was also rescheduled due to Tropical Storm Beta.

The team remained focused throughout the game and took care of the task at hand. Lake Creek coach Pat Kennedy stated, “I was very proud of the way they took a professional attitude, and they took care of their business. I’m fired up for them.”

Quarterback Ty Sexton returned strong this season after missing last season due to injury. The Lions wasted no time scoring 3 touchdowns within the first five minutes.

Dont’ miss this weeks action when Lake Creek takes on Porter Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Randall Reed Stadium.
