Keenan Elementary Student Places Steer In State Fair

Impressive showing! Fifth grader, Jagger Birkhead, represented Keenan Elementary at The Heart O” Texas State Fair United Steer Show in Waco, TX. Jagger’s Reserve Champion AOC steer named Droopy won the fifth Overall Prospect Steer out of 494 other exhibitors from the state of Texas.
Jagger took home a $500 cash prize along with a $500 scholarship. Some of the best livestock and exhibitors from across the state of Texas are represented in the show. In 2019, over $65,000 in scholarship money was distributed to livestock exhibitors. Way to represent Keenan Elementary and Lake Creek FFA!
